Emma Stone
Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was
born on the 6th of November in 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone
(nee Yeager), a homemaker & Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone, a
founder of a contracting firm and CEO. She has Swedish and British Isles roots.
Stone started acting in her youth as a Valley Youth Theatre member in Phoenix,
Arizona. She made her stage debut in the play of Kenneth Grahame "The Wind
in the Willows." Through her teens, Stone was in a variety of other shows
until she decided to make acting her career. According to the official account,
she made a PowerPoint presentation, backed up by Madonna's
"Hollywood" and later titled "Project Hollywood", in
attempts to persuade parents to let her leave school and relocate to Los
Angeles. After the presentation was accepted by the parents, she and her mom
moved to LA. She continued to study at home while auditioning. Her TV debut
came when she was chosen to play Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality/talent
show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004). The show led to several small TV
performances over the course of the years. After a string of successful
performances she was chosen to play Jules in Superbad (2007). Her success was
as Olive in Easy A (2010) followed by many more roles. In Phoenix, Arizona, she
attended Xavier College Preparatory. While she is famous for being a redhead,
her true shade is blonde. Judd Apatow suggested that she change her hair color
in order to be more in line with Superbad (2007). She was so in love with it,
she chose to keep the color. When she was 15, she persuaded her parents to let
her to move to Hollywood by presenting a PowerPoint presentation that was
appropriately named Project Hollywood. She began her career in acting at 11
years of age at the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she starred in
over 16 stage productions and also acting in the comedy improv troupe. Caylee
Cowan also performed at the Valley Youth Theatre.
